24 July 2010. The morning of that fateful day marked the end of the reign of the 6th Fort Scouts Supreme Council Session 2009/2010. It has indeed been a tedious year for the supreme council, as the co-curriculum system was completely revamped this year. However, we persevered and still managed to organize activities for our fellow scouts to learn and enjoy. J The activities held throughout our session were Troop Camp 2009, Orientation Camp 2010 (organized by the form 4s), the exclusive Test Camp for the scouts to earn their badges, as well as many other interschool events. (E.g. St. Joseph’s Institution, Nanyang Singapore Girl’s School etc. etc.)
On that long awaited morning, everyone assembled at 8.00 a.m. sharp in the school quadrangle as usual. Then, the standard song-singing and oath-taking was led by the troop leader. The scouts were then promptly divided into small groups, as the activity of the day was base games. Among the activities held at each base were flag breaking, marching and scouting knowledge just to name a few. However, in the middle of the whole session, a loud whistle was blown for the form 4s to gather. Then, the supreme council started the traditional torture session, where the form 4s were pushed to their absolute limits. Needless to say, a lot of pumping commenced, as this was going to be the supreme council’s last chance to do so.
As we were nearing the end of the meeting, the annual general meeting was held back at the quadrangle. However, the supreme council had one last trick up their sleeves for the council-members-to-be. Let’s have a look.

A word or two from the ex-supreme council member
As I look back on my time in service to the troop, I can only remember the moments I shared with my fellow scouts. Though it was sometimes hard, I'd do it all over again with the same group of scouts any day. We managed to successfully conduct quite a few major activities which include the orientation camp 2009, the troop camp 2009 and the test camp 2010. And not to mention, the troop meetings during which we would assemble to brush up on our scouting skills and of course to have fun a little fun. Many thanks to the council I worked with and good luck to the present council. Do us proud.
~Forever Forward~
-Teng Wen Sheng, Troop Leader of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-

-Tay Chye Yuen, Secretary of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-
In my opinion, our year has been quite a successful one, as we have managed to maintain the high scouting standards of 6th Fort. We hope that the new supreme council will do the same and if possible, even better for the troop next year. The future of the troop now rests on them, and so we wish them all the best in their future scouting exploits. Forever forward !
-Chan Zhong Wei, Asst. Secretary of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-
I hope that the glorious tradition of the troop will not die off and I wish that the leaders will think sensibly and the members are more assertive and have more self-initiative. I’ve gained brothers eternal friendship through scouting, and I wish that my juniors shall experience it too. Forever forward !
-Foong Xiang Ming, Treasurer of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-
Well I hope for only one thing which is to see the troop doing its very best and giving it all for the troop. I also look forward to see our 6th Fort in some big events in the years to come. The members produced from 6th Fort should also be of quality and not of quantity. I do not wish to see the Supreme Council crumble nor would I like to see the troop drop in standard. Good luck and all the best~~!!!
Forever Forward~~!!!
-Matthew Lee Yong Huang, Quartermaster of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-
Yay ! At last, we’re retired ! Although it is a bit sad for us but don’t worry for we will always be around u, juniors. Once a scout, forever a scout. Forever forward !
-Tan Li Yang, Asst. Quartermaster of 6th Fort Scouts 2009/2010-
Time flies when you are having fun. Enjoy your upcoming scouting activities and for those who would like to take King Scout, a word of advice from me – Start doing your log books. Good luck ppl and may 6th Fort continue to head forward in producing more potential and capable boy scouts. As how our motto in 6th Fort, ‘Forever Forward’. Do not give up when you face challenges. Be daring enough to face it but not to avoid it. You may be able to avoid once, but those challenges will come back and you will have to avoid it again. Face it, and you should never be feared again.
--------Once a scout, Forever a scout---------
